Pineview Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
Fredonia, WI
About
Before we left for adventure we were able to have a quick visit at the Pineview Wildlife Rehab Center. It is a center that cares for injured wild birds in hopes to send them back to the wild. The section of the center we saw was where birds who are unable to re-enter the wild get to stay. These birds are often used for training programs and brought into schools to teach children.
It was a hot day when we went so most of the birds were unable to come out of their cages. Plus, the morning we went, an injured bald eagle was brought in. So, things were a little chaotic around the center that day. We still had a nice time talking with the volunteers and showing ourselves around.
Thank you to Jeannie Lord who runs this whole place and let us stop by!!! Please check out http://www.pineviewwrc.org/index.html to learn more and maybe donate some money 😉
Overview
Not much to say here. They had baby Peacocks and two giant tortoises. One of the staff was able to show us the red-tailed hawk.
